Catherine
The designs for these notelets were inspired by the sayings of Catherine McAuley, who in 1831 founded the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy in Dublin, Ireland. A woman of courage, compassion and vision.
These notelets contain a small sample of Catherine's sayings and provide an opportunity of sharing them with others. The cross used in the designs is a personification of the Mercy Cross, and emblem worn by many Sisters of Mercy serving in different parts of the world today. The outstretched arms remind us of our need to receive mercy in order to give it.
